I know I'm a little late writing this blog entry but I felt it was an issue that I felt pretty passionate about and something was bound to be said anyway.
First things first, I am straight. As a straight female you'd think that gay rights wouldn't be something I was really interested in. I can't explain why but gay rights is something I feel strongly about. Maybe it's because I know people who are gay, maybe because I've been brought up right. Whatever it is; I care. Love is love and there is nothing else to it.
People often question my sexuality when I stand up for gay people. Would they question my race if I stood up against racism? No; they wouldn't. It's the one thing that annoys me the most.
Recently, I was looking through Dianna Argon's (Quinn in Glee) Tumblr page - http://felldowntherabbithole.tumblr.com/ - when I came across a very long blog post all about how she felt about gay rights. I read the whole post and agreed completely with everything she was saying. Dianna inspired me to write this post, just to get across the message I was feeling. Although this post is nowhere near the length of hers I still think it gets across what I'm trying to say.
Live, laugh, love. That's the message. That's the reason. Live like it's the first day of your life. Laugh harder than you've ever laughed before. Love like you'll die tomorrow. Life is percious. It doesn't matter who you love whether you're gay, straight or bisexual. This is not just you're life so make sure you let every one else love like you can.
